“Proud Parents – My wife, son and I have had the pleasure of being involved at MHS for a number of years. Being part of the Management team allowed us insight into what can only be termed a school with a solid foundation and one that has progressed ably in testing times under its fine leadership team led by Daneil Ross. Our son engaged positively with learners and staff and in turn benefitted greatly from quality interaction which has prepared him well for the international community wherein he is now engaged. We are grateful for the timeless yet often unrewarded efforts to all learners, by staff and leadership at MHS. Our memories of the years spent there will be vivid in our hearts and minds for years to come. Our gratitude to you all!”
Dear Mr. Ross,
I have been meaning to write this for sometime now but have not been well so kindly accept my apologies.
I will start with thanking you and all the dedicated staff who tutored Jason through from Grade 10 to his matrix finals. When I took the decision to apply for Jason to attend your school, based on glowing reports about your school from Jann Duvenage, I was advised by the school he was at that he would never cope with the big classes. He was in a class of 8 students prior to coming to MHS. That he has achieved such a pleasing matrix pass is a big feather in the cap of your dedicated staff, and indeed Jason’s. You may be aware that Jason was assessed as having Attention Deficit from the early age of 4. He was motivated by all of his teachers and for that we thank them.
It was always a great pleasure dealing with the school, from Colleen’s, Tanya’s and Alta’s friendly help at the front office to all the teacher’s who I met over the two and a half years I was always afforded the greatest of courtesy and good advice pertaining to Jason’s progress.
I was privileged enough to attend the Matrix Valedictory on the 16th October. What an impressive effort you all made to ensure that the passing out of your first Matrix year such a memorable event. I think any older, established school would be hard pressed to match the passion and loyalty that was on show that day. The school is certainly not short of talented youngsters. Cleo Dampies (and Band) I am sure we will hear more of in the future. The speeches by Jarita and Cayne impressed me very much. Believe it or not I was Head boy of my High School way back in 1971 and I don’t think I was up to presenting such confident public speaking as these 2 young adults. We wish them both strength and wisdom required to fulfill their positions of great responsibility.
Any school is only as good as it’s Headmaster and the teaching staff, here you can certainly take a bow Mr. Ross. That you achieved such an outstanding pass rate for your first matrix year speaks volumes about the future of MHS. The school is truly fortunate in having you and your amazing staff. I wish you all the very best for 2016 and hope to come and watch your rugby team clean up the opposition on your new playing fields!!
Please tell the Ladies at the front office that I will not forget to drop off muffins occasionally!!!
Jason and I wish you and MHS a great 2016.
Many thanks again.
Dear Mr. Ross and Melkie Team (Teachers)
We are so grateful for your extra mile. Your humanity left me no words to spare.
Thank you so much for assisting with his “Matric year”.
